Learn how to keep your soil healthy so it can grow lots of fresh food! In this FREE workshop, you’ll see a soil test demonstration to find out how good or bad your soil is. There will be a potluck, an open discussion of gardening techniques and a chance to ask John questions. It’ll take place Wed, Sep 16, 2009 5-6:30 pm at FoodCycles city farm at Downsview Park (70 Canuck Ave, map and directions http://bit.ly/1GYyWQ). Bring your own re-useable dishes and forks and a shopping bag. For more information, and to REGISTER, please contact Susan at perth-dupontcg@frogstar.com or Sunny at foodcycles@gmail.com (416.845.0818).

This workshop is a partnership between FoodCycles (non-profit city farm, based in the Downsview Park. It raises worms, produces nutritious, vibrant soil and grows food; foodcycles.org), Toronto Community Gardening Network & Perth Dupont Community Garden and John Slack (a soil management expert who creates and sells a certified organic fertilizer called Carbonatite).
