If you thought chickens, goats and other animals were a special sight in the city then farming frogs would be the kicker.

Will Farmed Frogs Satisfy Huge Appetites for Frog Meat? : EcoWorldly: “Despite the world’s dwindling frog populations, the demand for frog meat is increasing. Should a sustainable approach to wild frog harvesting be considered or could frog farming be a viable alternative to harvesting wild frogs?”

(Via EcoWordly.)

WHAT’S GOING ON?

Apparently frog legs is a particular treat these days and has been rising over the last 20 years. Trying to raise frogs on a farm is tough – only half (50%) usually make it. Since frogs have to eat things while their still alive and fresh its pretty hard to raise them on a farm. At least the frogs know the value of fresh food :)

TRIVIA

Apparently frog meat eaters says it tastes like chicken. What do you think?
