The first major screening of the triple award winning film DIRT! the Movie in Toronto was an awesome success! There were over 400 people in the audience and the movie itself was fantastic.

From the words of Vandana Shiva in India to the upbeat South Bronx work of Majora Carter, there were a lot of inspiring stories of the good things being done to fix the dirt the world over. In fact there was even mention of research on fuel cells using dirt to power LED lights.

It was wonderful to see so many people taking the lead to learn about the power and importance of dirt for a better world and better communities. And more importantly to take action to heal the dirt here in Toronto and Ontario. You can also make things happen by supporting the work of FoodCycles as a member, volunteer or donor.

If you attended the film screening feel free to leave your thoughts on the movie as comments to this post!
